Anime and Cartoons

In the past few months I’ve rediscovered my love of anime and cartoons. Okay, I admit the cartoons are no surprise. Anyone who knows me knows that I love my cartoons. I’m not talking about the new stuff that they show on TV these days, I’m talking about the OG cartoons like Spongebob, Futurama, Adventure Time – you know, the works!

But I’ve recently re-fallen in love with the old anime shows of my youth. I’m not really sure how it even started, but I’m willing to bet He had something to do with it. After all, we’re both children in adult bodies who love our cartoons/anime.

Anyway, back to my anime. I’ve recently watched (and almost caught up) to Dragon Ball Z – this was essentially my youth in a nutshell! Of course, from one anime comes another and from there it led me to rediscover Naruto!

Honestly, whenever I start a new/old show it essentially becomes an obsession – I don’t stop until I can’t watch it anymore (which probably only happens when I’ve binged an entire day and I take the night to rest only to go back to it the next day) or until I’ve caught up to the whole series. Now, I honestly want to say that my one biggest talent? Is catching up to TV shows that have more than 8 seasons in under a year. Legit. That’s my biggest talent. I mean, I know it’s nothing special because I’m pretty sure almost anyone can do it but that’s what I’m most proud of.

For example, I was browsing Tumblr and kept seeing GIFs or screencaps of a show called Supernatural, and what did I do? Immediately start watching it – currently it has 11 seasons and I watched all of them in roughly a semester and a half…people that’s 11 seasons with 23 episodes each around 40 mins…I swear I have a life, but nothing is more important than my shows! [Side Note: I was so obsessed with this show that I got Him super into too! And then? He got most of his friends addicted to it too! Mwahahaa I started a chain reaction]

Another example? I watched all 10 seasons of Friends in roughly 4 months – I mean this one isn’t as intense as Supernatural because each episode is 20 mins. but still, quite the feat I would say!

But none the less, I love my shows. Can you tell?
